3. Park pages say spring and fall stocking — does that mean stocked this morning?

No. Spring/fall stocking language is a program note. The weekly catchable list is on CPW’s Friday stocking report. If your water is not on that week’s list, do not invent a dump — fish what is legal and verify Atlas info.

4. When is water “too warm” for careful trout handling?

CPW has publicly discussed cold-water fish stress as water approaches about 70–71°F. Near ~69°F (as Cameo showed on Sep 12, 2026 provisional), treat it as a warning light: fish early, land fast, keep fish wet, skip long photos, or switch waters/species. See responsible fishing.

5. Do I need both a park pass and a fishing license?

Often yes for different reasons: state park entry/fees are separate from CPW fishing license + Habitat Stamp requirements. Confirm both on official park and CPW shop pages for your date — rules and fees change.
