Vega Reservoir Fishing Report and Conditions
Current Water & Ramp Conditions
- Vega Reservoir Telemetry: Vega Reservoir: monitored onsite at the park rather than through a live USGS stream gage (Oct. 27, 2026). Check on-site conditions via CPW Vega State Park.
- Check CPW regulations for your water.
Boat Ramps, Hand-Launch ANS Rules & Park Notices
- Boat Ramp Status: Both ramps (Early Settlers and Island) are CLOSED for the remainder of the season due to low water. Hand launching is still permitted; hand-launched boats with small outboards or electric trolling motors must still get an ANS inspection at the Visitor Center (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). - Park Facilities & Seasonal Notices: The fish cleaning station is closed for the season, and the accessible fishing pier near Oak Point (NE side) is out of the water during low-water drawdown. Hunting is permitted in designated park areas (archery or shotgun with birdshot only) from the Tuesday after Labor Day through the Friday before Memorial Day (CPW Vega Activities).
