Do you need a Colorado fishing license and a Habitat Stamp?

Read the license page before you buy. October 8, 2026, 8:54 a.m. MT. Page title: Fishing Licenses and Dates. Fishing Licenses and Dates.

That page says an annual fishing license runs from March 1 through March 31 of the next year. It says youth under 16 do not buy a fishing license. It says ages 16 and 17 use the youth license. The same page says a habitat stamp goes with a license, and the fee table limits that stamp to ages 18 through 64. A one-day license has an exception on that page.

The habitat stamp page, read the same morning, says a person aged 18 through 64 buys one stamp in order to buy a fishing license. Page title: Habitat Stamp. Habitat Stamp. The dollar on that page does not match the dollar on the fishing license fee table. The season line in the first paragraph does not match the season line in its own fee table. This note does not print a price and does not pick a season.

Viral Cast Outfitters does not sell the license or the stamp.
